"Near The Ending"

Been doing alot of Pixel work lately (I've uploaded a handful, but there's loads I'm not happy with), and to be honest, I'm losing interest fast, so I'm taking a break.

So here's the deal, every once and while I pick up a pad, a pencil and maybe a pen, and get doodling and sketching. Tonight, I was wondering what makes new retro-styled sketches... well, new retro styled :P

I know the obvious things, like the heavy use of geometric shapes in creating form, as well as the thick outline around the main parts, but can anyone give me any more tips or links etc?

After about 3 weeks of waiting, my audio submissions made it online finally! I'd like to thank the users who check the music for allowing my work onto Newgrounds, thanks very much, I appreciate the time and effort you put into getting through all the piled up submissions (which I understand there is ALOT).

Shame my first loop is rubbish, but at least my second is pretty decent! It's a remix/cover of Ratatat's "17 Years", check it out!!

Basically, I realised that there was a distinct lack of post-apocalyptic-pixel/8bit-web-comic-
pieces in existence, so I'm doing my bit to make some :)

Seeing that recent film "The Book of Eli" has been a big influence as well, I suggest seeing it :)

I'm working on a pixel/8-bit version of my temporary room (in between moving homes), and I thought I might as well include the HUGE Megan Fox poster that's on the back of my bedroom door. So yeah, although this picture shows her in the slighty wrong pose, it's close enough- I'm basically pixilising this poster. Sexy drawing times with Megan Fox... Hmmm :)
